Position Overview

Reporting to the Case Management Director, you will oversee our hospital-based case management program, leading a team of skilled professionals while ensuring excellence in care coordination, resource utilization, and patient outcomes. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of case management professionals, providing clinical expertise and guidance
  • Drive operational excellence through supervision of daily case management activities
  • Ensure compliance with InterQual criteria and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and resource utilization
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance through regular shadowing and documentation audits
  • Oversee department scheduling, staffing, and educational initiatives
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics tracking
  • Serve as department leader in Director's absence

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (Bachelor's in Nursing preferred)
  • Current RN license in state of practice or active compact license
  • 3 years of clinical nursing case management experience in acute care setting
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and case management principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Case Management Certification
  • InterQual/IQCI Certification
  • Experience with healthcare quality metrics and process improvement
