Position Overview:
The Marine Construction Crew Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating marine construction projects on-site, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires leadership skills, hands-on technical knowledge, and the ability to manage a team of skilled laborers in a challenging and dynamic marine environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine operations, safety protocols, and effective team management. A minimum of 2 years experience building docks or installing seawalls is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of construction workers, ensuring that all personnel are adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Oversee daily operations for your crew.
- Coordinate with project managers and owners to ensure a smooth project execution.
- Maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations on-site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, such as equipment malfunctions, design changes, and safety concerns.
- Conduct regular inspections of work quality, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Assist with training and development of crew members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in marine construction or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a crew leader.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of marine safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals.
