About Hamilton Chevrolet:
In 1956 Gene Hamilton established the Warren Chevy dealership and the tradition of providing sales and services that the community could trust. Gene hired Sam Cupp in the late 60's to join his son Don. In 1983, Don and Sam bought the business and continued the tradition as the dealership "where customers send their friends." In 2000, long time employee and general manager, Michael Boguth, became a co-owner dedicated to growing the business and serving the community. Sam Cupp passed away in 2012 after decades of honoring Gene Hamilton's teachings, mentoring and employing thousands in several businesses, and always putting the customer first. Service has always been a top priority at Hamilton Chevrolet, one of the country's largest Chevy dealers that has received General Motors "Mark of Excellence" award for superior sales volume and customer satisfaction 13 times since 2002.
Hamilton Chevrolet, a 65-year old family owned Automotive powerhouse, is seeking to hire an experienced service consultant for our service department. First and foremost, anyone looking to apply must enjoy working with the public, as the primary goal of the service consultant is to build lasting relationships and trust with our guests in order to meet and exceed their needs and increase our guest’s satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities of the Service Consultant/Advisor:
  • Accurately detail guests concerns pertaining to their vehicle and relay the information to the service technician in order to ensure proper diagnosis.
  • Review the repair order with our guest and obtain their authorization to complete the work.
  • Communicate the depth and value of the service performed, both at write-up and delivery.
  • Provide accurate advice to the guest on the cost and the care of their vehicle.
  • Advise the guest on necessary options and maintenance services for the future
  • Periodically contact the guest to inform them of the progress on their vehicle.
  • At time of the pick-up of vehicle, explain to the guest the work that was performed.
  • Review with guest the findings, work performed on the vehicle, the pricing on the invoice, when the next visit should be scheduled, and what work the guest should expect for the future.
  • Most importantly THANK the guest for their business!

  • Must be honest and ethical and possess good communication and organizational skills
  • Must be highly focused on CSI

Skills:
In order to find success in this position, candidates should be able to perform work independently as well as be an integral part of a team. Being well organized, and proactive is critical. EXCEPTIONAL verbal communication and computer skills are required. All of our candidates must be detail oriented.

Requirements:
  • Automotive Dealership or Customer Service experience: 3 years minimum
  • Must have sales experience and enjoy the sales process.
  • Candidates MUST possess above-average phone and communication skills
  • Must bring a positive, upbeat attitude to this role and be completely comfortable with clients
  • Must possess a Valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
