What are the responsibilities and job description for the License Office Clerk position at Hannibal License Office?
Hannibal License Office is actively recruiting a full-time Clerk to handle processing of motor vehicle and driver license transactions to include: driving permit, drivers license, identification cards, titles, registrations, or any specialized permits. This position will work approximately 7:45am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday.
Essential Functions:
- Process motor vehicle and driver license transactions in accordance with all laws, regulations, and policies;
- Collect transaction fees and reconcile with transaction and settlement reports;
- Answer customer questions via various mediums (in-person, telephone, email, online) regarding titles, ownership documentation, permits or licenses, and any laws, regulations or policies related to motor vehicle or driver license transactions;
- Complete required reports at specified frequencies;
- Maintain inventory, with careful attention to detail and safekeeping policies; and
- Provide unmatched customer service through effective communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma;
- Two years of customer service experience;
- Computer proficiency;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Reliable and punctual with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Dedication to represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times; and
- Exceptional customer service.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- One year of license office experience; and
- Public Notary.
