Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be highly motivated and detail-oriented.. The Accounts Payable Specialist will possess a strong understanding of the 3-way match process (Purchase Orders, Receiving Receipts, and Supplier Invoices) and have experience with IFS Cloud or a similar ERP system. This role requires excellent problem-solving and investigative skills, the ability to think critically, and a commitment to accuracy. The Accounts Payable Specialist will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of accounting principles and gain experience in a fast-paced team environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and proper authorization
Perform 3-way match (PO, RR, Invoice) and resolve any discrepancies promptly and efficiently
Investigate and resolve vendor inquiries related to invoices and payments
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation
Prepare and process down payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Collaborate with internal departments (Purchasing, Receiving) to ensure smooth and efficient processing of invoices
Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline AP operations
Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices
Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required, A pursuit or a completion of either an Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required
Proven 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong understanding of the 3-way match process
Hands-on experience with IFS Cloud or a similar ERP system is preferred
Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel
Proven 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong understanding of the 3-way match process
