JOB DESCRIPTION.
The Behavioral Support Program Manager is responsible for leadership and management of the Behavioral Support Specialists (BSS) program. Program Manager provides interventions and coaching of staff to help all children achieve their fullest potential while in the program. This position includes site crisis management, mentoring and coaching, liaison with school, BSS staff onboarding and effective behavioral health management and strategies; primarily for Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK- ages 4-5) and children with special needs (i.e I/DD), through observations, interventions, groups, training, curriculum development and reflective supervision of staff. The position reports to the Integrated Community Behavioral Health Services Program Director. The Behavioral Support Program Manager will provide services to students as assigned by the Integrated Community Behavioral Health Services Program Director and co-facilitate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) groups with staff.
JOB COMPLEXITY
Responsible for providing ongoing training and technical assistance to all child care staff, consistent with PrimeTime policies and procedures as well as San Diego
Unified School District (SDUSD) policy, that builds staff capacity to provide effective classroom behavioral interventions including UTK and children with special needsResponsible for developing and implementing positive behavior plans by utilizing relationship and strength based, developmental and Social Emotional Learning philosophy and tools
Responsible for facilitating behavioral support through the active involvement of the team including student, staff and their families
Supervise and coach all staff, interns and volunteers in the program adhering to SDUSD contracts requirements and Harmonium policies and practices; work to build staffs skills and confidence, and mentor, encourage, and motivate all staff using the reflective supervision model
Responsible for developing trainings in collaboration with Training Continuum Committee to ensure trainings reflect agency core values and initiatives
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.
Masters Degree required in behavior analysis psychology, education, or a related field.
BCBA or ABA certification required
Minimum of 3 years experience in crisis management
A minimum three years of direct supervision experience preferably working with children and adolescents
Preference given to applicants that have experience as a Behavior Specialist with an emphasis on social emotional well-being
COMPENSATION.
Starting Rate: $89,066.89 annually (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience)
