CNC Machinist Setup/Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Set-Up/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring precision and quality in manufacturing parts according to specifications. Knowledge of G-code and M-code for milling, turning, and mill-turn operations is essential. Experience with Mazatrol is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write CNC programs for lathes, mills, and mill-turn machines based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up CNC machines, including selecting appropriate tools, setting tool offsets, and ensuring proper machine calibration.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining processes.
• Perform first article inspections and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines and programs.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC set-up with experience in lathes, mills, and mill-turn machines.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software a plus (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
• Experience with Mazatrol is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints with Understanding of GD&T principles
• Experience with various materials, including metals and plastics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ITAR regulations and experience in an AS9100 certified environment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
