General Statement of Duties

This 12-months, 260-days position is located at Central Office - School Administration Building in the Department of Human Resources. This individual will serve as HR Assistant to the Human Resources Specialist who oversees Substitute and Temporary Staffing.

This vacancy is open until filled. Starting annual salary is $42,143.61 ( Note for the 2022/2023 school year: The salary for this position will be prorated based upon the official start date. )

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for the processing and maintenance of confidential material and sensitive matters;
  • Supports HR Specialist in the hiring process;
  • Processes and maintains all payroll forms and information related to HR Specialist's client groups (new hires, changes, resignations, etc.);
  • Keys employee personal; direct deposit, and assignment information in Oracle;
  • Answers phones, processes, researches, and responds to various requests from customers/stakeholders;
  • Assists with new hire orientation and fingerprinting process;
  • Scans employee documents (resignation letters, orientation paperwork, etc. ) into Winocular;
  • Prepares verifications of previous employment;
  • Serves as the Winocular administrator;
  • Resets employees' passwords as requested;
  • Attends work daily and is engaged in job responsibilities; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned, to include special projects.


Minimum Qualifications

A high school graduate or equivalent (business school or some college preferred). Excellent communication, and public relation skills are necessary. Ability to use computers in a broad range of applications such as but not limited to the following: Word Processing; Spreadsheet Data Entry and Spreadsheet Design; Database Maintenance; and Internet Search Engines. Familiar with Google Suite and Drive.

Must demonstrate superior customer service skills, dependability, and foster professional relationships within the department as well as with members of other departments.
This is a very fast paced environment. Successful candidate must have a proven track record of being able to prioritize and multi-task while experiencing interruptions throughout the day.
