Job Summary:
As an Early Childhood Teacher at Heritage Christian, you will be responsible for nurturing and educating either infants (aged 6 weeks to 18 months) or toddlers (aged 18 months to 2 1/2 years). Your role will involve creating a stimulating and safe environment that supports the development of essential skills, while also fostering emotional well-being. You will work closely with infants and toddlers, guiding them through activities that encourage growth in various areas of development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Child Care and Development:
- Provide attentive and responsive care to infants' and toddlers' daily needs, including feeding, diapering, and napping.
- Design and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, language development, motor skills, and cognitive growth.
- Foster social interactions and emotional development among toddlers, encouraging positive communication and cooperation.
2.Health and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and sanitized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor children's health and well-being, promptly addressing any concerns and communicating with parents or supervisors.
- Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures as needed.
3.Communication:
- Establish effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on children's progress, activities, and milestones.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure consistency in care and a smooth transition between activities and staff.
4.Curriculum and Lesson Planning:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans that align with the daycare's curriculum goals, tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to sensory, cognitive, and motor skill development.
5.Documentation:
- Maintain accurate digital records of children's growth, achievements, and any concerns, using observations and assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for parent-teacher conferences and developmental assessments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or equivalent required. (We will provide free scholorship to get CDA)
- Solid understanding of infant and toddler development, health, and safety best practices.
- Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a true passion for early childhood education.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Physical ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day.
