About the Job

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for both the cyclical deliverables of the FP&A department and non-cyclical, ad-hoc/analytical work. The cyclical aspects of the role include variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting as well as associated reporting. Non-cyclical aspects include providing decision-support to business partners through ad-hoc analysis, developing models and making recommendations. This role manages multiple analysts, reports to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis and will partner extensively with brand and shared service leadership, accounting, and BI.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage the annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes.
• Develop monthly and quarterly results packages and provide insights to help identify risks and opportunities to our short and long-term growth plans.
• Identify and introduce new ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy in the reporting and forecasting/budgeting processes.
• Partner with other members of the finance team to develop and maintain a long-range plan model to be used for various scenario-planning activities.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators in collaboration with business partners to highlight trends and/or causes of variances.
• Collaborate with the IT team as the centralized BI platform is developed to standardize KPI definitions, reporting and dashboards in support of the brands and shared services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners in Accounting, shared service functions and brand leadership in support of company and finance team goals and initiatives.
• Manage and oversee the development of multiple direct reports by providing coaching, performance feedback and driving team engagement.
• Perform a variety of ad-hoc analyses to support key strategic initiatives and improve the decision-making process throughout the organization.

Skill Requirements:

• Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, data analysis and financial planning tools required.
• Must possess strong analytical abilities as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with all levels of management and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
• Analytical ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully.
• Displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions.
• Able to look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
• High level problem-solving and analytical skills required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent required. Master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of finance experience required.
• Franchise or multiunit industry experience strongly preferred.
