High Point University is currently seeking a full-time Manager of Operations. This position manages the operational activities of the Phillips School of Business (PSB).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Associate degree and two years related experience required.
Experience and Training
- Minimum two-years related experience in higher education required.
- Datatel software experience preferred.
- Web editing experience required; web design experience preferred.
- Training and/or experience in the development and use of assessment/survey tools preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products and internet/web; strong overall technical skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to research, compile and analyze data and develop meaningful reports and recommendations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops standardized boilerplate document each term to be included with all PSB syllabi. Collects, reviews, and uploads all PSB syllabi to HPU storage site.
- Manages the faculty contract payroll process for adjuncts, full-time faculty course overloads, and executive education.
- Collects and tallies Course Credit Accounting Forms and other assessment tools from the faculty as required by SACS each semester.
- Manages the textbook process for the PSB including surveying for faculty needs, communicating with book representatives, ordering instructor copies, and submitting orders to the HPU bookstore.
- Monitors and manages the purchasing processes including faculty development reports, expense reports, travel reimbursements, travel expenses, etc.
- HPU credit card reconciliation for PSB faculty.
- Assists with PSB website edits and updates.
- Trains new adjuncts and administrative staff on the use of HPU/PSB technology.
- Assists Dean and other PSB staff with writing and editing of PSB documents and correspondence.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, students’ parents, faculty, co-workers and managers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Collaborates with the Dean and Associate Dean in the marketing, management and operations of the Phillips School of Business, as well as achieving and maintaining academic accreditation
