We're been retained exclusively to recruit an AP Clerk for our client. Our client, a fast-growing international travel company with over 1,000 employees worldwide, is expanding its operations to the United States. With five years of global success, the company is establishing a presence in Orlando, FL, and is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to support the AP function.
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper approval.
- Enter invoices into the financial system for processing and payment.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and organized AP records and files.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including AP account reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues professionally.
- Support the AP Supervisor in process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing use of AP-related modules in NetSuite.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Knowledge of AP processes, systems, and best practices.
- Experience with financial systems, preferably NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
