Assistant Controller
This position sits within a highly acquisitive field services organization looking to add an Assistant Controller to the team. The Assistant Controller assists in managing Corporate G/L Accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal reporting needs. The role will be responsible for driving efficiency initiatives, and supporting financial audits, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the General Ledger (G/L) accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end closing, audits, and budget preparation.
- Oversee treasury operations, accounts payable, insurance, tax compliance, 401(k) management, and external financial reporting.
- Collaborate with auditors to conduct financial audits and ensure full compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with cash flow management and reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance scalability and support business growth.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Research and resolve accounting issues to ensure adherence to GAAP standards and the adoption of new accounting regulations.
- Manage general ledger integration for newly acquired businesses.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred, with a strong command of GAAP.
- 7 years of professional accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Experience with Netsuite is a plus.
- Background in multi-location service organizations.
- Previous experience working with Private Equity-backed companies, particularly in an acquisition-driven growth environment, is a plus.
