The Human Resource Assistant oversees the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department while serving as a resource to all internal and external clients to provide excellent service through a variety of responsibilities related to all cycles of an employee’s experience while supporting the HWR initiative to Recruit, Retain, Reward, Retire.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provides guidance to internal and external clients which may include answering questions and explaining procedures, processes or team activities; distribution of forms, fliers, HR communication or other agency materials. Manages HR inbox and responding or forwarding inquiries to appropriate person
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs
- Processes employee status, pay changes, or informational changes received in HR and monitors information for accuracy and completion.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory employment related documentation including but not limited to continuing education or training and work assessments, safety training, workplace practice training, professional licensure, and exams or certifications.
- Supports the recruitment, onboarding and recruitment process through collaboration with HR Team, managers, and employees to ensure consistent and accurate processing of information.
- Verifies licensure of Physicians, RN’s, CLPN’s, HNA’s, SW’s, and Counselors; monitors expiration as required for licensure of all active staff.
- Assists with new hire orientation preparation
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; ensures all work locations have required labor law and worker’s compensation postings adequately displayed.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Ensure stock of supplies and order HR office supplies, as needed
- Maintain and ensure compliance of HR personnel files in conjunction with volunteer support
- Assists in audits as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of human resource management experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Compliance to Annual Flu Shot Policy or ability to provide exemption documentation
- Provide an active auto insurance policy as a licensed driver in the State of Ohio with the proper level of coverage as directed
- Provide an active driver’s license
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
