Now Hiring: Dining Room Supervisor
Location: Houlihan's Jonesboro, AR
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assists the Restaurant Management Team in leading, training & mentoring restaurant team members
- Supervises the floor during meal periods to ensure that all standards and steps of service are met through all guests interactions.
- Ensures that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions set by management are being completed each shift.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the team members.
- Observes performance and encourage improvement where necessary.
- Ensures staffing levels for all outlets are accurate based on hotel and restaurant business levels.
- Organizes and conducts pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as hotel occupancy and menu changes, safety and health code, promotions/marketing, HR related subject, etc.
- Communicates with guests and team members using a confident, positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
- Remains calm and alert, especially during an emergency and heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for the team members and other hotel team members.
- Ensures necessary standard operating procedures for all outlets are in place and are in compliance with Federal, state, local and O’Reilly Hospitality Management own practices. (e.g., ServSafe, Ecosure Responsible Vendor)
- Ensures that all steps of services as outlined in training materials are being followed daily.
- Interacts positively with our guest promoting restaurant and hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties. Answer telephones in a clear voice.
- Moves throughout the facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products and check preparation methods to determine quality. Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
- Ensures that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met.
- Maintains cleanliness of all outlets daily.
- Solicits feedback from guests concerning the service and food & beverage offerings in all outlets.
- Ensures that all daily reports are detailed and submitted in a timely matter.

- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Supportive Functions:
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive services, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the management based upon the particular requirements of the restaurant.
- Ensures maintenance of equipment by calling for repairs and training staff on proper use, Using proper standard operating procedures to report and fix these issues.
- Supports the entire Food & Beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, handling public relations and marketing when asked by management.
- Attends mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, staff meetings, etc.
- Utilizes traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, Canva, PowerPoint also Outlook.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Completes any other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Management Team.
- Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics which inspire Team Members to meet moreover, exceed standards.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. These actions are to be documented by the restaurant supervisor or manager on duty.
- All team members are required to fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel & restaurant facilities. Team members who violate the O'Reilly Hospitality Management, LLC handbook, will be subject to disciplinary action.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel.)
- Pleasant, polite manager who maintains a neat and clean appearance.
- Ability to motivate team members to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.
- Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.

Hours:
- Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years food and beverage/restaurant experience. Management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
- Requires a minimum lifting capacity of 50 pounds, i.e. one large bag of onions or one crate of lettuce. Must be able to bend, and lift items of 40 pounds minimum, over head for storage. Must be able to transport food and cooking utensils with food products, weighing as much as 10 pounds.
- May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.
Physical Activity of the Position:
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Environmental Conditions:
