Job Description
We are seeking an experienced individual with higher level accounting experience and abilities. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to grow within the company and have potential to move into a senior accounting position in three to five years.This is a key position within the company and we are seeking a long-term team member that fits our organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is preferred
- Experience as a general accountant or staff accountant
- Minimum two years construction accounting experience, including full cycle AP and AIA project billings
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel
- ViewPoint Vista and Textura experience a plus

What you’ll do:
As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company's overall financial operations. The tasks include but are not limited to:
- Co-lead the timely creation of accurate and detailed monthly owner billings:
- Maintaining a status log of billing progress during the month
- Coordinating with Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure project costs are incorporated.
- Perform accounts payable functions which include:
- Entering trade and project invoices
- Uploading and coding credit card transactions
- Monitoring the AP email inbox and responding to inquiries
- Setting up new vendors/customers in accounting system
- Performing weekly check runs and making miscellaneous payments as needed

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
