What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Tech- 1st Shift position at HSM?
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize a range of testing equipment and techniques to ensure product quality and performance.
- Perform regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to address and rectify any quality-related issues.
- Identify and document any product defects or non-conformities, accurately recording findings and providing timely reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of quality inspection results, testing procedures, and other relevant data.
- Ensure that all quality-related documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance production processes and product quality.
- Assist in the implementation of best practices to achieve continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant quality and safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality consciousness among all employees.
- Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 2 years) in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with using various testing equipment and tools for quality assessments.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to quality control.
