Hunter equipment is approved and used by vehicle manufacturers, automobile and truck dealers, tire dealers and automotive service facilities around the world. We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing team in Raymond, MS.
Key Result Area:
Provide support to Human Resources Team in the areas of recruitment, benefits, HR administration, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation.
Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Create, post, and update all job listings
- Communicate with management to post openings and direct applicant flow
- Review all applications, schedule and conduct initial interviews for hourly and staff level positions
- Conduct pre-employment testing/background screening
- Conduct on-boarding meetings
- Participate in Outreach/Employer Brand Building events
- Maintain relationships with technical schools and colleges
- Attend Career Fairs
- Identify key performers for promotion and advancement opportunities
HR Administration
- Maintenance of employee records
- Entering employee data in HRIS system
- Create, maintain, and run reports as requested (weekly, monthly)
- Maintain all records related to hiring/recruiting
- Other administrative duties as assigned including typing of correspondence, notices, etc.
Benefits
- Process employee benefit enrollments, changes, terminations
- Manage FMLA processes and distribution with employees
- Present new hire orientation on benefits
- Assist with open enrollment
- Assist with any benefit related tasks
Worker's Compensation
- Assist in the process of reporting employee injuries including maintaining record keeping
- Perform safety training and safety audits
- Assist with safety committee and worker's compensation follow up items
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business
- 4 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience recruiting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Effective HR administration, people managment, and prioritizing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; HRIS systems experience (i.e. ADP Workforce Now) will be a plus.
- Full understanding of HR functions and practices
- Solid organization skills, task and detail oriented
- Good interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the organization
