What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System?
Assists with the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and performs the functions that contribute to a positive experience for HR customers. Provides administrative support for the department, hiring process, contract employees, volunteers, badging, orientation, and electronic file maintenance to enhance the efficiency of the department. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides for a positive HR experience for customers both in person and over the phone by meeting their needs or ensuring that their concerns are directed to the appropriate person.
- Manages all contractor’s and volunteer’s paperwork to ensure compliance with OIG/EPLS/TJC and other programs.
- Assist with the onboarding and transfer processes.
- Answers basic employee questions about human resources policies or offerings.
- Scans employee paperwork into electronic files to ensure updated information is stored.
- Participates in the preparations of various forms and documents as requested.
- Maintains and orders supplies for the department.
- Processes employee status changes or benefits enrollments; maintains records of completed transactions.
- Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review.
- Assists with organization’s events such as Open Enrollment, Orientation, and recruiting events.
- Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- High level customer service skills and ability to deal with all types of situations and problems in a calm and professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all times.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 1-3 years’ experience as an office assistant or secretary AND/OR
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or Business
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business
