Hyundai Design Center America, part of Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) is looking for a Lead Designer to join our design team in Ann Arbor, MI
Job Functions:
Take lead in development of XRT programs with local and regional Tier 1 and 2 suppliers
Establish long & short-term business planning (including implementing of a fully functioning design studio in Ann Arbor for development production and accessory design development), budget projection, budget creation, financial management and completing report
Foster communication and collaboration between Hyundai Design Center America and counterparts inside and outside of company
Given the nature of design studio environment with high stress and heavy workload, good communication skill positive and warm personality would be a great asset

Key Requirements:
- Transportation design major (Bachelor of Science degree)
- 15~20 years of professional experience in OEM R&D
- Proficient in 2D sketching and rendering skills for effective visual communication
- Proficient in physical model and prototype development including clay, soft and hard model builds for design evaluations and model reviews
- Proficient in 3D digital modeling with well versed understanding of production feasibility, engineering requirements, sections, drawings, etc.
- Project and resource management skills with multidisciplinary team leading experience
- Proactive, disciplined, communicative and outgoing people-person with a go-getter attitude
