ICR, one of the most highly-regarded strategic communications and capital markets advisory firms, is seeking a highly motivated professional to fill an entry-level, Investor Relations Associate position on our fast-growing Global Media, Sports & Entertainment (GMSE) team.
The GMSE team covers a wide range of companies in the media, digital media, sports, sports betting, gaming, entertainment, internet and advertising industries.
The Associate role works directly with our Partners, Managing Directors and Vice Presidents in the execution of client IR programs and assists in prospecting new clients. The position has meaningful opportunity for growth over time.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide support for Partners, Managing Directors and Vice Presidents of the group.
- Interact directly with clients to prepare for quarterly earnings calls, including due diligence calls with management, drafting earnings releases, conference call scripts, management Q&A preparation and investor feedback.
- Prepare reports and analysis for clients outlining financial results, stock price performance, short interest and changes to institutional shareholder base.
- Create, update and maintain detailed financial models for clients.
- Develop client marketing materials, including corporate press releases, letters to shareholders, investor fact sheets and IR website content.
- Develop and manage calendars and timelines for investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, analyst days and other major events.
- Track and report on clients’ competitor / peer equity research and business developments and financial results.
- Assist with the creation and preparation of quarterly and annual presentations.
- Assist with drafting and helping distribute press releases / notify respective stock exchanges.
- Assist in preparing pitch materials for prospective clients.
- Assisting with business development initiatives.
- Various clerical and administrative responsibilities including note taking, scheduling calls and helping organize events.
Job Requirements:
- In-person at the New York City office (Midtown Manhattan) minimum three days a week.
- A strong working knowledge of the Media, Sports and / or Entertainment sectors is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Communications, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant work experience or substantial internships during college.
- Strong finance and / or accounting background.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong writing ability.
- Excellent interpersonal & verbal / written communication skills.
- Confident and professional phone and e-mail communication.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Strong work ethic, analytical, curious, optimistic and tenacious with a desire to learn.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
