What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMED Coordinator position at Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine?
This position provides comprehensive administrative, coordination, and academic support for the Clinical Courses and the Simulation Department in collaboration with the Simulation Manager and Simulation Coordinator during the first two years of medical school. The role requires strong attention to detail, critical reasoning skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment while effectively managing tasks through collaboration. This position reports to the Manager of Simulation.

CURRICULAR COORDINATION:
- Work with Course Directors in support of ICOM's online learning management system (LMS) operations and processes. This may include but is not limited to entering student grades and attendance, documenting faculty participation for learning sessions, scheduling or modifying events, uploading learning materials to the LMS, and printing materials for learning events
- Work with Clinical Course Directors to assist in the delivery, scheduling, and execution of clinical events, including the creation of student groups, group rooms, and faculty assignments, reserving and assigning spaces around the ICOM campus, taking and entering attendance in the LMS, and assisting with event setup and takedown
- Assist the first-year Clinical Medicine Course Director with the Teaching Assistant program, including scheduling, payroll, and correspondence
- Communicate with adjunct clinical faculty to schedule and coordinate learning sessions for the Clinical Courses. This may include updating Google Calendar invites with session materials and information, confirming planned attendance, identifying adjunct scheduling conflicts, and sending email requests for additional adjunct faculty participation if needed
- Manage course budgets and print monthly expense reports for Course Directors
- Schedules students for simulation activities utilizing several software systems including LMS, Google Calendar, and Learning Space. Be available in person to assist during Clinical Course events. Work with Course Directors, Human Resources, and other coordinators to ensure adjunct contracts are current and adjunct faculty are appropriately trained to participate in certain student events and/or SOAP note grading
- In coordination with Course Directors, enter payroll for adjunct faculty members and instructors for Clinical Course events and properly document faculty and adjunct faculty attendance in the LMS
- Participate in required programmatic training, professional development, and other service-related activities throughout the year
- Communicate effectively with all levels of faculty, staff, and students in the development, implementation, and maintenance of academic processes and procedures
- Creating student schedules and grading rubrics in Learning Space
- Assists with various simulation activities as needed. This may include, but is not limited to, manikin-based simulation tech roles, procedure lab setup, and SP event preparation

Requirements
- An associate degree and/or 3 or more years of experience in a fast-paced high volume administrative environment
- Full-time experience in higher education is preferred
- Previous experience with databases and online learning management systems is preferred
- Proficiency in using Apple, Office 365, Adobe, and Google products
- Previous experience in a clinical setting or healthcare field is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead
- Utilization of critical thinking skills to identify and proactively address issues with minimal supervision
- Effective organization and coordination skills that reflect the ability to prioritize competing demands, and complete action items efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced
