What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Director position at Imagine?

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the ongoing health and growth of clients and client portfolio.
  • Think beyond the day-to-day and adopt a long-term, strategic, growth-oriented mindset in order to develop longterm opportunities and client relationships
  • Consult with clients/prospects to understand their current and emerging needs
  • Collaborate with clients to create strategy, vision, and direction of account and communicate this strategy,

vision, and direction to internal account team

  • Manage client relationships by providing actionable strategic thinking, building mutual trust and paving the way

for lasting partnerships

  • Provide clear, decisive, and thoughtful direction on individual projects. Clearly communicate client goals and

represent the client’s interests to the internal team while properly setting client expectations

  • Lead new business pitches and project opportunities
  • Oversee the workflow for designated pitches/projects and communication with the clients on key issues
  • Assess operations to ensure that the right processes are in place, and right people are assigned to clients
  • Develop growth strategies, account plans, and pricing strategies
  • Contribute to the formation of resource plans, scopes of work, and contractual agreements as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that agreed upon scope and fee align with and will work with overall Account Team

objectives

  • Ensures resources are used efficiently at the right time and help internal departments plan for what’s ahead

effectively

  • Develop a deep financial understanding of your clients, and manage overall account financials
  • Drafts and negotiates contracts and remuneration deals, and is responsible for getting the maximum revenue

across all pieces of business

  • Collaborate with vendors and partners as needed
  • Provide timely, honest feedback and coaching in order to continuously develop capabilities of account team

members

  • Identify opportunities for professional development of AS/AE/AC and other internal team members

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade, as well as define strategy and

vision

  • Ultimate client satisfaction mentality and approach

strategic opportunities

Mandatory Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university required or commensurate experience
  • 7-10 years of work experience in account services

The national pay range for this role is commissioned based pay and can range from $10,000 - 150,000 or more annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
