In-Seam is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Intern to join our team. As a Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance our brand presence and engage our brand & connector audiences across social channels. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing while working alongside a talented team in a fast-paced luxury fashion environment.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging and original content for our social media channels, including but not limited to posts, images, videos, and stories.
- Platform Management: Manage and monitor our social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and staying updated on platform trends and algorithm changes.
- Community Engagement: Foster meaningful interactions with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Campaign Support: Support the execution of social media campaigns, promotions, and sales objectives including brainstorming ideas, developing content calendars, tracking performance metrics and executing sales support.
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor strategies, and audience preferences to inform our social media strategies and content development.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor key social media metrics, analyze performance data, and prepare regular reports to assess the effectiveness of our social media efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and sales, to ensure alignment of social media activities with overall business objectives and campaigns.
- Stay Updated: Stay abreast of emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices, and make recommendations for innovative approaches to enhance our social media presence.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in marketing, communications, or a related field, or recent graduate.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Knowledge in using social media management tools and platforms (e.g., Later, Coschedule, Canva).
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for luxury fashion, social media marketing, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- New York based preferred.
