E-learning and Technology Librarian/Coordinator
Average Weekly Hours: 37.5|FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Indian Trails Public Library District (ITPLD) has an exciting opportunity for an E-learning
and Instruction Librarian/Coordinator to work in a dynamic workplace focusing in the
areas of e-learning and instruction for our community and staff. The ideal candidate will
be positive, resourceful, technology savvy, collaborative and knowledgeable to create
engaging services for our members as well as have the ability to establish relationships
across the library. Additionally, this position involves working with a collaborative team,
staffing the service desk to assist our members and serves of person-in-charge (PIC) as
required.
The library has a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, vision,

of $25.61.

Some of the job duties include:
E-learning and Instruction responsibilities:
- Develop and teach member productivity technology classes and manage member
- Selector for E-devices and related apps and software, including maintenance of
related handouts and website content for staff and members.
- Provide updates and instruction to staff on e-devices, downloadables and databases.
- Liaison between IT, Materials Services and public service staff with regard to repairs
software for purchase.
- Keep informed of new advances within subject area, making recommendations for

Service Desk Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals of all ages to find information, locate materials and research a
variety of topics.
- Recommend materials through a variety of sources.
- Provide individual instruction and in the moment access to information in both print
and digital formats for all ages.
- Assist members with a variety of technology support including but not limited to
printing, faxing and email.
- Design and conduct programs for adults.
- Stay current with all appropriate physical and digital literature, as well as emerging
- Actively promote the library, its materials, and services through a variety of methods

General Responsibilities:
- Establish a virtual presence by contributing content through a variety of
communication methods.
- Maintain library collections by selecting and weeding material as directed.
- Assist in developing desk and service procedures.
- Generate and maintain reports and statistics as needed.
- Serve in the person in-charge (PIC) rotation.
This opportunity requires:
- Master’s in Library Science (MLS degree) or equivalent area of study for the position
such as Master’s in Education or Technology Instruction and a minimum of 1 year of
relevant experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to deal in a calm, positive manner with patrons of a diverse background and
supervision.
- Knowledge of relevant software and hardware.
- Ability to read computer screens, type accurately, and move about staff and public
materials of various weights up to 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation to the library facilities and other locations as needed
