Inside Sales Support Representative- Rockford, IL

Ingersoll’s US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Inside Sales Support Representative.
This is a professional position responsible for growing and maintaining a positive relationship with clients and the outside sales representatives that service them.
Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Responding to both internal and external inquires in a timely and professional manner
  • Quoting prices and availability of products
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for clients
  • In-take of up to 50 calls per day
  • In-putting of orders from phone, email, and EDI requests
  • Follow-up on delivery information and processing expedite requests
  • Answer inquiries about products and services
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Previous customer service/order entry experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to keep a cool head in stressful situations
  • Works well independently as well as in groups
  • Highly organized with the capability to multi-task
  • Ability to uphold high volume work loads
  • Familiarity with machine tools a plus
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) AS400 and or similar system preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in customer service or inside sales in an office setting
This is a full-time position in a professional office setting.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
