What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at INSIGHT IMAGING?
We are an outpatient radiology practice in Grass Valley, CA. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Scheduler. This is a part time position (approximately 30 hrs.). Typical hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm and no nights/weekends
Responsibilities include:
- Schedules, coordinates and reschedules patient's appointments and handles customer service inquiries
- Timely and accurate interpretation of benefits, patient registration, and efficient, effective scheduling
- Relays necessary messages to staff
- Verifies referral and/or authorization for the scheduled appointment
- Answers telephone, screens calls, take messages, and provides information
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing
- Acts in a courteous manner and maintains composure when dealing with angry or irritated patients
- Maintains database, fax and scan patient history and update patient account information
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- High School degree or GED
Minimum Experience required:
- One year medical scheduling experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
