Geriatric Nursing Care Specialist

As a Geriatric Nursing Care Specialist with Interim HealthCare Staffing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and health of senior residents in assisted living/memory care communities throughout the Albert Lea area. This per diem position offers flexible day shift hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or on-call needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, medication management, and overall health status monitoring for residents.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) during shifts.
• Provide education to residents and their families on disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
