Bartender- Italian Eatery by Travail

We are currently searching for experienced Bartender for Italian Eatery by Travail, now open!

Ideal candidates have open availability and at least 2 years of previous bartending experience, and at least 2 years of serving experience.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and speak English fluently.

In this position, you will be serving and bartending. You must be available on Sundays.

Desired Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 serving experience
• 2 bartending experience
• Wine knowledge
• Cocktail experience
• Effective communication, problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
• Superior time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks for efficient service and smooth operations
• Friendly, positive attitude
• Excellent eye for details and aesthetics

What You'll Be Doing

• Complete opening side work/ bar prep work
• Greet guests in a friendly manner and assist in answering any immediate questions about the restaurant
• Guide guests through the menus and make appropriate menu suggestions
• Complete opening and closing duties and side work
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Maintain clean bar area, following opening or closing duties as needed
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Process guests' payments
• Communicate with Kitchen team regarding orders
• Communicate with management and front desk team regarding wait times, open tables
• Participate in staff trainings and any pertinent meetings
• Represent and maintain culture standards of Travail Collective inside and outside of the restaurants within our company

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods at a time

Must be able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, sit

Must be able to walk stairs and climb step ladders

Must be able to use POS System

Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. occasionally or and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently

Must be able to use voice when serving

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
