About the Role:
This entry-level junior sales role is perfect for culinary professionals looking to transition into sales or those with a background in the food industry. You'll maintain and grow business relationships, exploring new opportunities within a well-established market leader.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business with restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and gourmet food stores in Chicago.
- Collaborate with the Midwest sales team and distributors to promote our product lines.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of our specialty food products.
- Provide regular reports on activities and market insights.
- Participate in trade shows and sales meetings to showcase products.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
Qualifications:
- Passion for food with cooking experience or a proven sales track record (3-5 years).
- Excellent closing, customer service, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; Netsuite experience is a plus.
- Background in the restaurant or culinary field is an advantage.
