What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant County Attorney-Litigation Section of Civil Division position at Jefferson County Attorney's Office?
Minimal Requirements: Must be a licensed attorney in good standing in the state of Kentucky and be a person of good moral character. Must have received a juris doctor degree at a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
Preferred Experience: At least 8 years of experience in civil litigation. Applicant must have extensive experience with all phases of litigation from the investigation, pleadings, and discovery stages through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
Job Overview: The Jefferson County Attorney’s Office has one (1) full-time position open as a litigator in the Civil Division. The litigator is responsible for representing Louisville Metro Government and employees in a variety of state and federal cases. These cases include employment, personal injury, premises liability, wrongful arrest, and 1983 as well as other constitutional claims.
Compensation starts at $85,000 depending on experience.
