Business is booming at JEGS! We are the leader in the after-market distribution of high-performance automotive parts and accessories, and we are searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager. The Accounts Payable Manager will manage the A/P Team here at JEGS ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time. This position is onsite at our Delaware, Ohio Corporate Offices.

Founded in 1960 by Jeg Coughlin, Sr. as a small speed shop, JEGS has grown into a powerhouse that includes a race team, and a 250,000 sq ft warehouse that supports one retail store and a multi-million-dollar mail order business. Job Duties and Responsibilities
A/P Manager’s job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manages corporate disbursement activity and controls the creation of payment runs for A/P in our Accounts Payable system and reconciles to general ledger
- Responsible for the administration of the Accounts Payable function for the organization
- Day to day supervision of the Accounts Payable staff, including scheduling, project assignment, performance development and evaluations
- Ensures timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
- Processes manual invoice requests
- Monitors the AP Teams vendor correspondence to assure positive and timely vendor relations
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Performs additional matching verification for select vendor invoices adjusting receipts and payment terms
- Reconcile outstanding invoices in the sub-ledger to the GL.
- Manage invoice exceptions
- Complete the month-end close process for A/P
Skills - Experience and Requirements
A/P Manager will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel and Microsoft skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- 10 key proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving and analytical insight
- Strong mathematic skills
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with several cross-functional partners and outside vendors
- At least three (3) years of people management experience needed for supervisory tasks
- Manufacturing and distribution experience preferred
- Experienced in 1099 reporting requirements required
