PURPOSE/SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Thrive Counseling is expanding youth services, notably to youth who have experienced trauma. We are looking for a professional to play a leadership role in the development of behavioral health programming for youth.
The Director of Thrive Youth Services will train and supervise staff and intern therapists. They will conduct in-services to peers on various topics. In this position, the Director of Thrive Youth Services will build relationships across the community to generate referrals. They will serve as a member of the JFS leadership team.
Additionally, the Director of Thrive Youth Services will provide clinical assessment and ongoing psychotherapy to a diverse set of youth clients. They will establish treatment goals with clients, a service plan, and document the clinical session in our electronic health record. Thrive Therapists use a variety of evidence-based, trauma informed modalities and approaches. Counseling is offered via Telehealth, in office, and school-based appointments. Weekly clinical supervision will be provided as well as Clinical Peer Supervision and other relevant trainings.
Qualifications

1. Master's degree in social work with licensure (LMSW) in the state of Michigan.
2. Excellent clinical skills with expertise in working with youth and families who have experienced trauma. Must have experience delivering common evidence-based interventions.
3. Minimum of five years of experience in a related field including supervisory experience.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Extensive computer experience.

1. Ability to express oneself articulately and effectively both verbally and in written communication.
2. Comfort communicating with individuals for whom English is their second language.
REQUIRED REASONING ABILITY
1. Ability to deal with abstract as well as concrete problematic people and situations.
