Director of Clinical Services- Behavioral Health

JFS is looking for a motivated Director of Clinical Services. The Director ofClinical Services is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the Counseling and Memory Assessment department at JFS. This includes managing the delivery of client/patient care, overseeing staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. They work closely with other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies that promote quality client/patient care and improve outcomes.They also provide direct services to individuals, families, and groups. The Director of Clinical Services provides support to the agency and programs in a manner that is sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice in the state of Virginia, and a minimum of 5 years clinical and administrative experience in a human service-related occupation. They should have experience in partnering with an executive team, strong leadership skills, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. They should have experience with budget and financial management and knowledge of behavioral healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintains a clinical caseload and meets billable hours expectations

· Leads and provides supervision to administrative and professional staff in the counseling department

· Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards

· Interfaces with community as appropriate including outreach and offsite growth

· Maintains high quality standards of professional practice for self and agency

· Assists in guiding accreditation (COA) team with necessary activities and PIP

· Assesses client bill rates with industry standards and participates in the annual contract renewal process

· Analyzes program financial data and implements changes as needed

· Provides leadership and strategic direction for clinical operations and initiatives

· Drives continuous process improvement and innovation in clinical services

· Contributes to the development of the organization's overall strategy and goals

· Attends leadership staff meetings

· Provides assistance to other programs Directors and CEO as requested

· Other responsibilities as assigned.
