JRC is searching for a talented mid-level Field Engineer/Maintenance Technician for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Assessment, Exercise, and Modeling & Simulation Support (AEMSS) Blue Team will work closely with engineers and other inspection teams to conduct assessments of all aspects of the utilities of buildings and facilities. The inspections will increase the customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts on mission execution capability and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.
An active security clearance at the SECRET level or above is required for this position.
As the Facilities Maintenance Manager/Construction Technician you will...
- Conduct assessments of all aspects of utility-related vulnerabilities, increase the customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts of utilities on mission execution capability, and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.
- Identify capability and security gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities to drive development of potential system mitigations and architecture solutions to address those issues.
- Support coordination with multiple organizations, to include, but not limited to DOD and DOE facilities and other external organizations to further define infrastructure, design, test & evaluation gaps.
- Support the coordination and facilitate programmatic actions with external program stakeholders.
- Ensuring proper security measures for the utility systems within the installation being inspected are sustainable and effective.
What you bring to the table...
- 4 of years relevant experience
- Must have and maintain an active government security clearance at the SECRET level or above and eligible for a TS/SCI
- Demonstrated experience conducting facility inspections with a focus on risk/vulnerability assessments
- Demonstrated willingness to work in a team environment as well as independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 30-40%
Bonus Points for...
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical preferred) or DoD Nuclear Engineering or construction battalion experience
- Experience with Armed Forces construction and utilities installation/inspection
