KBR is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manager of Accounts Payable. The Manager of Accounts Payable will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process for a large EPC project. This role requires strong knowledge of accounts payable in the context of engineering, procurement, and construction projects.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Manage a multi-location team of accounts payable clerks and supervisors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed (teams span: San Antonio, Houston, Huntsville Alabama, and India)
• Develop and implement efficient accounts payable processes and procedures specific to EPC projects, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
• Review and approve invoices related to the EPC project, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement/contracts team, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions for the EPC project and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports specific to the EPC project, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in the EPC project to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in accounts payable for EPC projects.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounts payable, with at least 5 years in an active managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of transaction processing, specifically in the context of cost reimbursable EPC projects.
• Proven experience of managing an efficient AP process with large invoice volumes.
• Strong AP management skills and proven related experience.
• Able to quickly assess complex issues and provide solutions.
• Strong leadership and execution skills.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Travel to Huntsville, AL; Mumbai, India; Houston, TX; also to site in Louisiana.

Preferred Education & Skills:

• JV experience preferred.
