Position: Human Resources Generalist/Coordinator
Salary range: $55,000-$65,000 annually depending on years of experience

Responsibilities
The HR Generalist/Coordinator must possess good organizational skills and possess the ability to handle information in a confidential manner. This person will have a pleasant personality with the ability to establish good working relationships with varying personalities (co-workers, management, the public). This position requires the ability to perform office work directly related to management policies or general business operations, must exercise discretion and independent judgement, provide regular and direct assistance to executives, and perform work, special assignments, and tasks under only very general supervision.
Position Overview
The HR Coordinator works collaboratively with the HR Manager and assists the department by providing daily management of the Human Resources function. They will perform confidential and administrative services for the Human Resource Department. The HR Coordinator will be a primary resource for employees with any HR related concerns or inquiries.
Focus areas for this position Include:
- Facilitates monthly new employee onboarding and orientation
- Facilitate company’s Volunteer & Student programs
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and events
- Maintains and updates employee files: HR, Employee Health, Agency and Contract Services with accurate and complete information and maintains the required tracking
- Accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing with the coordination and support of corporate payroll team
- Conduct audits and maintain postings, files, and procedures that are in compliance with federal and state statutes

- Processes and maintains all worker’s compensation claims in a timely manner and according with the company’s Return to Work program
- Processes all unemployment requests, FMLA and Leave of Absences in an accurate and timely mannerParticipates in various committees to support a strong employee experience (i.e. Health & Wellness Committee, Safety Committee, Employee Engagement, etc.)
- Ensures confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Assist with project management and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or a combination of education and experience required
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as computer applications relating to Human Resources Functions required
- Two or more years of experience in Human Resources with exposure to a board range of functions required.
Preferred Experience
- Previous HR experience in a health care facility with exposure to Joint Commission, and CMS preferred
- Familiarity with benefit administration, basic HR functions, Payroll Administration, and state and federal employment laws
- Must be detail-oriented with expertise in problem solving, observation, group dynamics, and interpersonal relations
