Assistant Director

Kidz Nation Academy is a new daycare ministry of Harvest Chruch, Charlottesville VA. Our potential opening date is August 2024. Our goal is to offer support to the community through offering quality faith based childcare with reasonable rates while growing the Kingdom of God.

Kidz Nation Academy is a religious exempt daycare. Be expected to work 25-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Our opening hours are 7:00am-5:30pm. Our organization is seeking qualified teachers for this position. The successful candidate will have a passion for children and will be a good fit for our unique school environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children and a willingness to work collaboratively with other teachers. The position will require working directly with children ages 5 years- 11 years, managing classroom activities, and organizing the classroom after school and days when public schools are closed. The Assistant Director supports the Preschool Director in the overall management and administration of the preschool. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and fostering a positive, nurturing environment for children, staff, and families.

Responsibilities:

• Be nurturing and caring toward the children in their care.
• Help children with homework when necessary
• Keeping children clean.
• Maintain safe, organized classrooms.
• Set children up for success with education.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Developing schedules and routines ensuring physical activity and time for homework.
• Communicate with parents in a positive manner.
• Must pass a criminal record check.
• Must be willing to take child development classes.
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid certified.
