The Yard Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the general maintenance, tracking, and organization of Knutson’s equipment within the yard.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Helps enforce safety rules and regulations for equipment yard operations.
- Coordinates and tracks all inbound and outbound equipment.
- Organizes and inventories yard ensuring adherence to Knutson’s Zero Incident Safety culture.
- Assists with monthly project equipment inventory and rental cost reports to yard manager and individual project teams with a high level of accuracy and integrates appropriate feedback into equipment tracking system.
- Timely dispatch of personnel, equipment, and vehicles in response to requested services.
- Maintain and verify records of time, material, expenditures, and crew activities.
- Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, production, and any work-related safety incidents or material / equipment damage occurring in the equipment yard.
- Schedules maintenance, preventative and required repairs or replacement of vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Prepares paperwork and performs inspections on all incoming and outgoing equipment documenting any issues during pre or post inspections and communicates all issues to the yard manager.
- All other duties as assigned or requested.

- High school graduate or general education degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of related construction equipment management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other company and industry specific software programs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
