Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Sales Clerk to join our team for our gift store. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping customers find the products they need. As a Sales Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting customers, managing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized and stocked store environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, processing sales transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed attractively and organized.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Follow store policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in sales or retail.
- Proficient in cash register operations and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of stock management practices is a plus.
- A willingness to learn about products to better assist customers with their purchases.
- Understanding of software, such as Google docs, Google excel, and Microsoft 360.
- Able to operate drills, utility knives, basic tools, pallet jacks, and gondolas.
- Can lift 70 pounds above the head and easily carry around.
- Resourceful and self driven to improve company sales.

Pay: $10.55 - $15.00 per hour
