About the Job Opportunity
We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician II to join our team at the Kreher Family Farms crop shop. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment, as well as providing leadership and guidance to junior mechanics.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance checks, diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, and perform preventative maintenance tasks to extend the life of our equipment.
- Leadership and Safety: Promote a culture of safety and compliance, provide guidance and direction to junior mechanics, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our internal customers, respond promptly to requests for assistance, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required; associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: ASE Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician Certification preferred; NYS Inspectors License preferred.
- Licenses: Class A Commercial Driver's License required.
