Job Title: Website Application Server Administrator
Location: Dallas, Texas (Onsite from Day 1)
Experience: 7-10 years
Job Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain web hosting servers (both on-site and cloud).
- Work with developers, IT, and security teams to meet business needs.
- Ensure hosting systems run smoothly, securely, and can handle growth.
- Set up and configure web servers, databases, and applications.
- Fix hosting issues and escalate if needed.
- Monitor system performance and logs to prevent problems.
- Plan and set up backups and recovery for emergencies.
- Improve web hosting security using firewalls, encryption, etc.
- Automate tasks using scripts and tools.
- Plan resource use for better performance and cost savings.
- Keep records of hosting settings and troubleshooting steps.
- Help other teams with hosting-related questions.
Required Skills:
- Web application server administration
- HTTP server management
- Basic HTML & CSS development
- Managing static websites
- Experience with ColdFusion, WebLogic, WebSphere, or Tomcat
- Understanding of database queries and connections
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
Work Timings:
- Team available Monday-Friday, 7 AM 5 PM PT
- 24/7 on-call support for major issues
- Communicate with clients using a ticketing system
