Lakeshore Athletic Services, Inc. is a local Chicagoland event company currently looking for Event Production Coordinators to join our growing team.  We are hiring motivated individuals seeking to gain experience in the operations/logistical side of the endurance sport event industry.  Candidates with a passion for event planning who possess strong communication skills and can thrive in a fast paced environment are ideal.   The Event Production Coordinator will develop an understanding of event production from the vendor’s perspective, work closely in a client facing role and experience the hands on the day-to-day functions of scheduling and inventory management.
The Event Production Coordinator will work with different managers and event leaders creating customized quotes, detailed event plans with timelines, executing event day operations, and post event correspondence.
 Company Background:
Lakeshore Athletic Services provides race management, logistics, and professional timing services to road races, track and field, and triathlon events throughout the country. Lakeshore Athletic Services has 40 years of experience in the Athletic Event Industry. LAS is headquartered in Morton Grove, IL and maintains office/warehouse space in Palmetto, Florida and Mesa, Arizona.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Execution:   Work with event organizers and race directors preparing quotes for services and equipment. Create load lists for the warehouse and update staffing and inventory for the planning room.   
  • Event Day Operations:  Communicate details of event plans to event staff to include start times and equipment production timelines.  Serve as point of contact with the client throughout the event, manage event staff, troubleshoot last minute changes or requests to be sure the event runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Logistic Coordination:   Oversee the event logistics including vehicle movement to/from the event site. Ensure the setup and breakdown of the equipment is consistent with the site maps, manage any last minute changes.
  • Office duties:  Assist in office duties that includes staffing and inventory and client communication. Participate in event planning days with the team during non event office hours from 8:30am-5pm on weekdays.
Qualifications:
  •   Previous experience in event planning, event management, or a related field is desired.
  •   Proficiency with Microsoft office products
  •   Confidence to take initiative, problem solve and adapt to last-minute changes
  •   Strong written and verbal skills and ability to work with a team
  •  Ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours at outdoor venues and lift 30-50 lbs
  •  Valid drivers license with a clean (MVR) motor vehicle report
  •   Adhere to zero drug and alcohol policy
  •  Compliance with safety policy and code of conduct
Benefits and Compensation:
  • Annuary salary starting between $55,000 - $60,000 based on level of experience
  • Health Benefits that includes RX, Vision, Dental and Life.
  • Per diem for travel event work
