What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Hand position at Lakeway Marina?
Lakeway Marina is hiring for a full time and seasonal dock hand.

Rental Fleet/Marina
- Will help manager maintain boat rentals by making sure all boats are prepared for daily business.
- Ensure physical assets are in clean and in working order. (docks, ships store, boat ramp, parking lot)
- Maintain rental fleet (pontoons, runabouts, PWC, SUP’s, and Kayaks) are clean and working order.
- Report any maintenance and repairs of rental fleet to marina managers.
- Ensure all safety equipment is on board each rental boat as required.
Dockhands responsibilities:
- Make sure that the rental area is clean and well maintained for a safe working environment.
- Communicate rules and safety guidelines of rental boats to customers through check-out orientation.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies stocked and ready for daily tasks.
- Assist customers with filling their personal boat with fuel.
- Help develop strong team morals through positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Provide assistance and support with any other marina needs and necessity as required.
- Employee must have high level of customer service skills that ultimately represent Lakeway Marina in a positive manner.
- Must be honest, dependable and forthright, with the ability to confidently work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
Other requirements:
- 18
- High school or GED diploma
- General knowledge of boat operations and safety, but not required.
- Be able to be outdoors for 8 hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to swim.
