Overview
QG Floral is a family-run business with nearly 50 years of experience in the floral industry. With three divisions, over 25 employees, a fleet of 10 vehicles, and a 40,000 sq. ft. operation, we are a high-volume, fast-paced business operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

As we grow, we are looking for a strong leader with extensive operational experience to help transform our thriving family business into a structured, scalable corporation. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in building a streamlined, high-performance operation.

Responsibilities

• Business & Operational Strategy
• Learn all aspects of the business to develop and implement procedures that enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Establish a corporate structure with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
• Create and refine departmental procedures, ensuring consistency and accountability.
• Optimize workforce management, reducing unnecessary overtime through improved scheduling and team structuring.
• Team Leadership & Development
• Define clear roles and responsibilities for employees and ensure accountability.
• Motivate, mentor, and develop employees, fostering growth and internal promotions.
• Continuously recruit top talent to maintain a high-performing team.
• Conduct regular leadership meetings to assess performance, address challenges, and align goals.
• Seasonal Planning & Forecasting
• Collaborate with team leaders to forecast seasonal demand and plan for peak events.
• Identify operational bottlenecks before they impact workflow.
• Work with department heads to improve efficiency, streamline communication, and enhance productivity.

Experience

• Experienced operations leader with a strong background in team management, logistics, and business scaling.
• Highly organized, process-driven, and able to bring structure to a fast-moving environment.
• A proactive problem solver who anticipates challenges and implements effective solutions.
• A people-first leader who knows how to motivate and hold teams accountable.
• Skilled in corporate structuring, operational efficiency, and long-term business transformation.
