Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans including scope definition resource allocation timelines budgets and risk assessment. Manage all project phases from initiation to closure ensuring adherence to established methodologies and best practices.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies including but not limited to: fiber optics wireless networks 4G/5G IP networking VoIP and network infrastructure. Be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and contractors ensuring deliverables are met according to contractual agreements. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams providing guidance and support to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Communication and Reporting: Provide regular project updates to stakeholders including progress reports risk assessments and budget forecasts. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including senior management.
- Problem Solving and Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets tracking expenses and ensuring projects stay within allocated funding.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation including project plans meeting minutes and status reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in telecom project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex telecom projects.
- Strong understanding of telecom technologies and industry trends.
- Excellent project management skills including planning scheduling budgeting and risk management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
- Experience with project management software tools e.g. Microsoft Project Jira.
