The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including assisting with the hiring and interviewing of potential staff, assisting with timekeeping tasks, benefits, leaves, and enforcing company policies and practices.
- Support the corporate recruiter with scheduling interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts pre-employment screenings.
- Assist with new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale, and engagement; occupational health and safety.
- Collect new hire survey feedback follow 30-60-90 days
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain a superior level of confidentiality in all matters.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintain and update Human Resources documents, such as organizational charts, directories, or performance evaluation forms.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Bi-lingual is a plus, but not required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least five years of human resource management experience is preferred.
- SHRM-CP is a plus.
