BTJ Insurance, an affiliate of Leavitt Group, in Nashville, TN is looking to add new talent to their growing team.
SUMMARY
The Executive Assistant provides support to all account manager’s, sales staff, and customers. Performs a wide range of administrative and office support activities in a dependable, consistent and timely manner for the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations and procedures
- Manage accounting tasks
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail
- Coordinate insurance-related tasks and documentation
- Maintain office supplies and equipment
- Assist with administrative support
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a valid, in force driver’s license with a MVR acceptable to the agency. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

SOFT SKILLS
Should have demonstrated effective verbal and written communication. Excellent customer service and communication skills as well as time management and ability to prioritize.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate using the English Language. Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (verbally and in written form) effectively with company personnel and other agency staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Be able to perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent.
COMPUER SKILLS
Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
RASONING ABILITY
Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form to insurance and general office situations. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
