What You'll Do:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and part-time staff.
- Compliance Management: Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax withholdings and reporting.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain payroll records, update employee information, and manage deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other key metrics.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to staff.
- Audit & Reconciliation: Assist in payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing payroll and managing employee records.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll information to employees clearly.
