Leverage Companies is seeking ambitious and driven undergraduate students to join our dynamic 2025 Summer Internship Program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real estate, finance, and capital markets while working alongside industry professionals. Interns will contribute to high-impact projects, receive mentorship, and develop technical and analytical skills essential for a career in real estate and financial services.
Internships are available in the following areas:
Internship Positions
- Property Management Intern
- Work closely with our property management team to oversee operations, tenant relations, and financial performance of our real estate portfolio. Responsibilities include lease administration, coordinating maintenance, analyzing property performance metrics, and conducting market research to assess rental trends.
- Dispositions Intern
- Support our dispositions team in managing asset sales by preparing offering memorandums, coordinating with buyers and brokers, and assisting in property walkthroughs. Gain experience in deal structuring, transaction management, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Acquisition Analyst Intern
- Assist in underwriting and financial analysis for residential and commercial acquisitions. Responsibilities include reviewing potential deals, determining profitable exit strategies, and preparing financial models and investment committee presentations. Ideal for those interested in real estate investments and asset valuation.
- Capital Markets Intern
- Join our underwriting team to analyze loan applications, assess financial risks, and structure financing solutions. This role provides exposure to DSCR and Non-QM lending, borrower credit analysis, and market research to evaluate risk and profitability in real estate financing.
- Lending Processing & Underwriting Intern
- Gain hands-on experience in loan processing and underwriting, ensuring compliance with credit policies while analyzing borrower and property financials. Work alongside senior underwriters to structure loan terms and optimize loan performance through risk assessment.
- Loan Officer Assistant Intern
- Work with the loan origination team to assist in processing and analyzing DSCR loans for real estate investors. Responsibilities include reviewing borrower documentation, evaluating rental income and cash flows, managing loan pipelines, and communicating with borrowers and brokers. This role offers valuable experience in loan origination, financial analysis, and client relations.
- Creative Marketing Intern
- Support our marketing team in developing and executing creative strategies to promote Leverage Companies' brand, real estate projects, and investment opportunities. Responsibilities include content creation, social media management, email marketing, graphic design, and video editing. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, storytelling, and digital marketing trends.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve in fast-paced environments
- Interest in real estate investing, financial modeling, strategic brand development, and asset management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (3.4 preferred for analyst roles)
- Incoming Junior or Senior
- Experience in real estate, lending, financial analysis, or transaction management (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
